You Should See These Photo’s Of Our Lovely Park!

You hopefully know by now that Friends of Doxford Park are really proud of the work we do to keep the park well maintained. A lot of time and effort from our volunteers helps us to achieve this. We are delighted that it has recently been captured in some beautiful photographs! Victoria Cottam Photography visited the park and took some fantastic photos. A selection of these can be seen below.

Work we have recently done includes cutting down the hedge by the side of the paddock, general planting around the park, and adding more bat and bird boxes. As well as this, we have had lots work completed behind the walled garden where the area has been cleared and we now have ‘willow walk’. We have also spent time working on the cascade. We have planted ferns, elephant ears, hawthorn and various other bedding plants.

Because of mother nature, the park is always changing and even though these are very recent photographs, some areas already look different. We are seeing more bluebells around the park, and the daffodils will soon have disappeared.

We have recently had comments about how lovely the park has started to look over the last 12 months. For anyone who hasn’t visited for a while, we hope you can see that in these pictures. For anyone who does visit, please feel free to share your own photos on our Facebook page

As always, Friends of Doxford Park hope you are enjoying the park, and that you agree it is a ‘Park For All’. If you see any of our volunteers around, please feel free to stop and tell them what a brilliant job they are doing! Of course, if you want to volunteer – or are thinking about it – you can contact us to find out more.

Thank you Alan! We have no idea how your comment slipped through the net, but we are delighted to have seen it – it has really made our day! We would love to learn more about your grandfathers work or any stories if you have them. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment.
